Total Sustainability in Six Steps
At Vlint, we help make air handling units smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. We understand that renovating an air handling unit is not a small decision. Therefore, we think along with you, share our knowledge, and ensure your installation functions like new and delivers top performance for many years to come, but with much greater sustainability!
Our VCA-certified specialists have extensive experience in building services (offices, schools, sports centers, swimming pools, hotels, and more) and in industry (food, pet food, pharma, chemistry). This way, you are sure to work with a partner who understands the technical aspects and offers solutions that work in practice.
Why Make Your Air Handling Unit More Sustainable?
An outdated air handling unit is often an unnecessary energy guzzler. At Vlint, we combine technical know-how with practical solutions. Our process in six steps
Step 1: Analysis and Proposal
Our specialists inspect your air handling unit and map out its performance, consumption, and improvement opportunities. You will receive a clear sustainability proposal with the savings potential and the expected payback period.
Step 2: Start of the work
Upon agreement, we schedule the work. Worn-out parts such as motors and housing will be removed and replaced with modern, energy-efficient components. If necessary and agreed upon, we optimize the cabinet design and ductwork for optimal aerodynamics and performance.
Step 3: Cabinet Reconditioning
We thoroughly clean, repair, and restore the cabinet. Damaged parts are repaired or replaced, and if agreed upon, we provide the bottom with an antibacterial coating. This way, your cabinet is back in top condition and will last for years without having to invest in an expensive new cabinet.
Step 4: Installation of Smart Fans
The most important part of the sustainability improvement is replacing old fans with smart EC fans that are up to 30% more energy-efficient than traditional motors. Thanks to smart controls, they can be adjusted to the exact needs of the building. This benefits both your energy bill and the environment.
Step 5: Energy-efficient Filters
To maximize sustainability, we recommend installing energy-efficient filters that can provide up to 68.9% additional energy savings. Our Nanowave filters reduce air resistance and lower energy consumption, while improving air quality. A small intervention with a big impact.
Step 6: Delivery and Reporting
Upon completion, we thoroughly test the air handling unit. You will receive a comprehensive report detailing all the steps taken, expected energy savings, and payback period. Additionally, the unit will receive the Vlint sustainability label, guaranteeing that your installation is future-proof.
The Result of Our Sustainability Approach
Replace or upgrade sustainably — what is the smarter choice?
Unsure whether your air handling unit should be replaced or sustainably upgraded? Many companies assume a new unit is always the best solution, but in reality that’s often not true. In our blog we explain the differences, costs, benefits and environmental impacts — and whether upgrading is indeed the smartest option.
