Pan Oston chooses Vlint Airsocks for healthy and comfortable workspaces

A modern building with an optimal indoor climate
The new Pan Oston building features a sleek finish and a modern, fresh appearance. For management, it was important not only to create a comfortable and healthy indoor climate in the offices, cafeteria, and showroom, but also to ensure that the air distribution system complemented the architect’s design vision.
The challenge
Optimal climate control in a new office building
The goal was to create a healthy working environment without drafts or cold spots, while providing air distribution that matched the modern interior design. At the same time, the ventilation system needed to be flexible, allowing heating, cooling, and ventilation to be controlled separately for each department.
Pan Oston appointed Willemsen Installatie to handle the HVAC installations. The company asked Vlint to provide advice and supply Airsocks. Both companies had already collaborated on several successful projects. Hugo Willemsen of Willemsen Installatie explains: “I’m always looking for partners who complement our expertise. Vlint is one of those partners.”
The solution
Knowledge-Driven Advice from Filtration Expertise
To ensure a comfortable and healthy indoor climate in the new building while meeting Pan Oston’s design and finishing requirements, regular consultations took place throughout the project. Vlint was involved from the very beginning.
It was decided to install Airsocks in every department, each connected to its own air handling unit that could be controlled independently. This allows every space to be ventilated, heated, or cooled separately.
A design that complements the interior
Vlint supplied and installed a total of 30 Airsocks, including all connections to the air handling units. One of the major advantages of Airsocks is that fresh supply air mixes with the existing room air through the material’s permeability and strategically placed perforations. This creates uniform air distribution without noticeable airflows, unlike traditional ductwork systems.
In addition, the Airsocks fit seamlessly into the building’s modern interior. They are suspended parallel to each other, centred within the space wherever possible, and remain smooth and wrinkle-free. For a flawless finish, the aluminium mounting rails were powder-coated in Pan Oston’s paint shop in the same colour as the Airsocks themselves: black in the cafeteria and showroom, and white in the office areas.
As a result, the Airsocks blend perfectly into the interior design.
“You really have to look closely to notice them!”
Benefits of textile air distribution ducts
The result
Fine-tuning after completion
Vlint’s experienced installers fully supported Willemsen Installatie during the installation of the Airsocks. Even after project completion, Vlint remained involved to ensure a fresh and healthy indoor climate. It was decided to readjust the temperature settings and air distribution in several departments. René Noordman explains:
“The temperature in these areas was not yet completely optimal. These spaces are larger and have a relatively high occupancy rate.”
After an on-site assessment, Vlint proposed enlarging the perforations in the Airsocks, creating a stronger induction effect. This allowed the cooler air entering the textile air duct to mix more effectively with the surrounding air.
Healthy, comfortable, and flexible workspaces
The new facility has been very well received. Everyone is pleased with both the results and the collaboration: “The cooperation between all construction partners worked like a well-oiled machine. In terms of indoor climate and comfort, we can clearly notice the difference compared to our previous location. We are happy that we chose Vlint Airsocks. It is an excellent system that creates a healthy and pleasant working environment.”
Installer Hugo Willemsen is equally positive about the partnership with Vlint: “We don’t always have the time to focus on every detail ourselves. The partners we involve in a project must deliver quality and be reliable collaborators. That’s why we enjoy working with Vlint. Pan Oston had very specific requirements for air distribution combined with interior design in their new building, and Vlint provided excellent advice and support throughout the project.”
